Job summary

Capital Medical Group, an Independence Physician Management (IPM) subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS), is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a busy urology practice. The role involves clinical and administrative tasks, patient preparation, specimen handling, and patient education.

The position is onsite, with an emphasis on high-quality patient care and efficient clinic workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience; two to three years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and RNs by taking and recording patient histories, height, weight, and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examination and specimen collection.
• Administer prescribed medications under physician/RN supervision.
• Explain tests and post-op instructions to patients.
• Retrieve and communicate lab results and path reports to physicians.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with wound care as needed.
• Triage calls and coordinate information for appropriate decisions.
