Qualifications

Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

You’ll support patient care through rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting with clinical procedures, and keeping the patient experience running smoothly from start to finish.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by‑case basis).
  • License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
  • Experience: Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

The pay range for this position is $21.09to $27.12 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
