Job summary

MainStreet Family Urgent Care in Oneonta, AL is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include assisting providers, documenting patient information, performing lab tests, and managing digital records. The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma and excellent communication skills. The position offers a starting pay of $15/hr, with health benefits, 401K, and paid time off included. Candidates will work on a rotating schedule, totaling 7 days in 14 days, with every other weekend off.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider(s) in the care of patients.
• Triage patients promptly and ensure smooth workflow.
• Document vital signs and updates to the patient’s medical history.
• Perform lab tests and manage digital patient records.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments.
• Administer medications under supervision.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
