Job summary

Washington Regional Urgent Care is seeking experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our Mountain Home, AR team. The Medical Assistant role provides clinical and administrative support to ensure high-quality patient care, including preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting providers, and maintaining accurate records.

Full-time schedule offers rotating 36-40 hour weeks with 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend; PRN positions are available as-needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Willingness to obtain AR Limited X-Ray License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients promptly in waiting area, exam room, and lab/x-ray room.
• Communicates wait times and directs to the next step in treatment.
• Provides solutions to patient problems and seeks help in emergent situations.
• Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency.
• Assists front desk with patient check-in/out when necessary.
• Obtains and documents vital signs, weight, brief history, medications, allergies, and other pertinent info.
• Assists with patient transfers and with procedures supervised by the provider.
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation for visits.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS Certification

Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)

AR Limited X-Ray License (preferred)
