Job summary

Providence is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support licensed practitioners and assist in patient care at the Spokane site. You will perform duties from the MA I role and work within established policies and regulations, across multiple shifts.

This full-time position offers on-site work with a base pay range of $20.71 to $31.68 per hour, plus potential shift differentials and bonuses. Benefit's overview is included in Providence's benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training for medical assistants.
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
• Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
• Minimum one year of medical assistant work experience including vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification required upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• At least 6 months healthcare experience.
• At least 6 months medical assistant experience.

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
• Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
• Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Or
• Coursework/Training Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration Or
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months Healthcare experience
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience
