Job summary

Chesapeake Specialty Care is seeking an enthusiastic, full-time Medical Assistant to join our growing team across four office locations. You will interview patients, document medical history, monitor vital signs, assist with procedures, and process prescriptions in the EHR while traveling between sites in Owings Mills, Westminster, Columbia, and Rosedale.

The role offers weekday hours within 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, no weekend requirements, and opportunities to expand into additional responsibilities

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of obtaining pre-authorizations for procedures.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Willingness to travel to four office locations as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Escort and interview patients, documenting medical history and presenting concerns.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs.
• Perform clinical support tasks and assist medical staff with procedures.
• Process prescription orders through the EHR.
• Coordinate with insurance companies for pre-authorizations.
• Provide administrative support, including answering phones and taking messages.
• Pull charts, organize, and file paperwork as needed.
• Adapt to different office workflows while maintaining consistent quality of care across locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
