Chesapeake Specialty Care in Maryland is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians across multiple offices. You will interview patients, document medical histories, monitor vitals, and assist with procedures, while ensuring accurate EHR prescription processing.
The role requires a High School Diploma, CMA preferred, strong organization, and the ability to travel between Owings Mills, Westminster, Columbia, and Rosedale as scheduled.
Escort and interview patients, documenting medical history and presenting concerns.
Monitor and record patient vital signs.
Perform clinical support tasks and assist medical staff with procedures.
Process prescription orders through the EHR.
Coordinate with insurance companies for pre-authorizations.
Provide administrative support, including answering phones and taking messages.
Pull charts, organize, and file paperwork as needed.
Adapt to different office workflows while maintaining consistent quality of care across locations.
Other duties as assigned.
Previous experience in a medical office setting.
Knowledge of obtaining pre-authorizations for procedures.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to different practice locations.
Flexibility and willingness to travel between Owings Mills, Westminster, Columbia, and Rosedale offices as scheduled.
High School Diploma required.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
