Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assistant program (or) one year as a Medical Assistant.
• For Medical Assistant Trainee: High School Diploma and no experience required.

Responsibilities

• Take patients to rooms and obtain vital signs.
• Assist with medical procedures and phlebotomy.
• Obtain lab specimens and manage specimen handling.
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR).
• Calculate and administer medications and vaccinations.
• Greet patients and schedule appointments.
• Answer phones and perform clerical & computer work.
• Handle prior authorizations and billing/coding paperwork.
