Qualifications
- Graduate of a medical assistant program (or) one year as a Medical Assistant
- Medical Assistant Trainee: High School Diploma, on-the-job training provided
Responsibilities
- Clinical: taking patients to rooms, obtaining vital signs, assisting with procedures, performing phlebotomy, obtaining lab specimens, maintaining EMR, administering medications & vaccines
- Administrative: greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, clerical & computer work, prior authorizations, billing and coding, faxing, FMLA paperwork
