Job summary

Beyond Podiatry is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced podiatry practice. You will support providers, prep rooms, manage EMR, and participate in a tiered program that grows skills and responsibility over time.

The role starts at Tier 1 with opportunities to advance through Tier 2 and Tier 3 based on performance and demonstrated competencies, with regular evaluations and a focus on professional development.

Qualifications

• All Medical Assistants participate in a tiered program with progression based on performance and competencies.
• MA duties include room preparation, sanitation, EMR navigation, patient histories, and vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in morning clinical huddles.
• Prepare, stock, clean, and sanitize exam rooms and equipment.
• Update patient schedules and visit status in real time.
• Navigate EMR for encounters, notes, and documents.
• Enter patient histories, medications, and vitals.
• Communicate orders and provide patient education materials.
• Prepare work/school notes and clinical documentation.
• Obtain informed consent for procedures and DME.
• Notify staff of OTC purchases and manage inventory.
• Perform Diabetic Foot Exams and assist with tests when available.
