Esse Health is currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our Tesson Ferry Pediatrics office in south county! In this role, the MA will perform back office functions such as assisting in examination and treatment of patients, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and recording information in the patients chart or EMR. This individual is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling; greeting patients with enthusiasm; and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
This position does share rotating coverage of a Saturday morning shift, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., approximately once a month.
Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, CPR Certification, PC/Windows proficiency, medical coding proficiency, willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction, ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
