Job summary

CAREonsite, a division of Tang & Company, is hiring a Medical Assistant (MA) to support occupational health services and assist medical providers. The role blends clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced setting, with a schedule of Mon/Wed/Fri, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

The MA will conduct exams, perform basic lab tests, administer injections, and help maintain HIPAA compliance while handling front- and back-office tasks. A program completion and state certification are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited school.
• Medical Assistant certification meeting state medical board requirements.
• Current BCLS (CPR/AED) certification.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

As a CAREonsite Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting occupational health services, assisting medical providers, and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. This position offers a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

Schedule: Mon/Wed/Fri, 8:00am - 5:00pm

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct physical exams, including vision, hearing, vitals, respiratory fit testing, and drug/alcohol testing.
• Perform basic lab tests and prepare specimens.
• Administer medications and injections, perform blood draws, apply splints and dressings.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and ready for patient care.
• Assist medical providers during examinations and procedures.
• Handle administrative duties, such as scheduling, answering phones, and maintaining patient charts.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
• Perform COVID-related duties, including temperature screening, questionnaires, vital signs, and testing.
• Support both front and back-office functions as needed.
