Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the practice through patient preparation, vital signs, and chart updates. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care.

Ideal candidates bring 1 year of clinical experience or completion of a Medical Assistant program, with CPR/BLS current or within 60 days of hire. The role includes both clinical and administrative duties within a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program.
• Two years of experience in a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• BLS/CPR current or within 60 days of hire; per American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, update medical records and medication lists.
• Assist with preparing exam rooms, maintain supplies, and safely dispose of biomedical waste.
• Coordinate with Care Team and providers about care plans, labs and patient education on chronic conditions.
• Support administrative tasks such as check-in/out and onboarding processes at the practice.
