Job summary

US Heart and Vascular is seeking a Medical Assistant Supervisor to join Heartland Cardiology in Wichita, KS. The role oversees daily clinic operations and supervises medical support staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.

Key duties include scheduling, policy development, staff coaching, and special projects to improve processes. Travel to other locations may be required, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from accredited institution.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Two (2) years of Medical Assistant experience.
• If the individual in the role will drive for work purposes, a current valid state driver’s license and required minimum auto insurance coverage.
• Cardiology practice experience is preferred but not required.
• Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises medical support staff including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orienting, training, and coaching.
• Completes medical support staff schedule and organizes daily work activities to ensure adequate clinic coverage.
• Establishes performance standards, procedural guidelines, and policies.
• Evaluates staff performance and administers corrective actions when needed.
• Directs employee training to improve efficiency and ensure conformance with standard procedures and practices.
• Completes various related special projects, including reviewing information, identifying problems, and writing reports.
• Ensures the clinic/center operates efficiently with high-quality patient care and service.
• Maintains a safe workplace by following safety protocols and training.
• Travels to other locations as required and ensures safety compliance for vehicles.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
