Description

Spire Orthopedic Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant Supervisor. The role involves overseeing Medical Assistants, managing schedules, supporting staff, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities include staff management, training, patient interaction, and assisting with clinical procedures.

What You'll Do:
  1. Coordinate call outs and schedule adjustments for Medical Assistants, notify staff accordingly.
  2. Create schedules and approve time off requests.
  3. Assist with cross coverage among team members.
  4. Work closely with the Director on team issues, patient complaints, and workflow improvements.
  5. Inform the Director of staff issues, lead monthly meetings, document minutes, and communicate updates.
  6. Monitor staff when the Director is not on site and report issues.
  7. Provide feedback for employee reviews and assist with re-training as needed.
  8. Attend scheduled meetings with leadership.
  9. Manage inventory and training related to ENVI & BREG systems.
  10. Develop and update training modules, policies, and procedures.
  11. Ensure clinic runs smoothly by assisting with patient care, rooming, and maintaining cleanliness and supplies.
  12. Verify patient information, prepare patients for examinations, and document records accurately.
  13. Assist with clinical procedures such as sutures, staples removal, injections, casting, and fitting orthopedic devices.
  14. Order and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
  15. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and assist in clinic preparation and cleanup.
  16. Cover evening urgent orthopedic hours and travel to satellite offices as needed.
  17. Assist with triage and check-in/check-out processes.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification or LPN license.
  • 5-6 years of Medical Assistant experience; orthopedic experience preferred but training available.
  • 2-3 years management experience.
  • Proficiency with EMRs and Microsoft Office.
