Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from an accredited Health Care Training Program as a Medical Assistant.
• High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for their appointments by accompanying them to the examining room and facilitating the patient flow.
• Performs routine medical tasks such as drawing blood, administering injections, and preparing patients for examinations.
• Documents patient care in electronic medical records and other medical record systems.
• Assists the provider with examinations and ordering/performing diagnostic tests and treatments.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and appropriately prepared exam rooms.
• Interacts with patients to provide education and ensure accurate documentation of care.
