- Acts as a mentor to new Level II and entry-level Medical Assistants, assisting with orientation and development. Provides direct patient care and serves as a liaison between provider and patient. Performs vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor. This position requires age-related competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level.

- The Clinic Nurse assumes responsibility for patient care delivery utilizing the nursing process under physician supervision. Requires population-specific competencies and adherence to safety goals based on patient contact level.

Qualifications for Medical Assistant Sr:

  • Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration
  • At least 3 years of experience as a clinic Medical Assistant in an ambulatory setting
  • 3 years of direct customer service experience; telephone customer service preferred
  • CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment
  • Validation of competency in medication administration
  • Core competencies demonstrated within 90 days
  • Effective communication skills in English (Verbal/Written)

Qualifications for Clinic Nurse:

  • Current licensure as an LPN or RN in Oklahoma or multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NCLEX) state
  • Kansas RN or LPN license required for INTEGRIS Family Care clinic in Caldwell, Kansas
  • Previous work experience preferred
  • BLS and/or ACLS as required by department
  • Effective communication skills in English (Verbal/Written)

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, instructing patients, documenting accurately in EMR, reviewing charts, reporting abuse, performing procedures like venipuncture, EKG, waived testing, and more. The role involves managing large call volumes, organizing workflow, assessing patient conditions, participating in care planning, and ensuring safety and confidentiality.

Additional physical demands and safety precautions are required, including standard precautions against hazards like infections, chemicals, and electrical risks. Some duties involve exposure to environmental and home hazards, especially in home health settings. All applicants will receive consideration regardless of protected status.
