Paylocity in Lakeland, FL seeks a professional Medical Assistant to support physicians in a busy office. You will triage patients by phone, administer medications including injections, and document care and prescriptions accurately.

You will identify education needs, respond to emergencies, and help maintain clinic workflow while upholding office policies and patient confidentiality. BLS and MA certification within 90 days are required or in progress.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1 year Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by telephone triage.
• Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
• Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of the office.

Educación

High school diploma or GED

Medical Assistant program

1 year MA work experience (last 2 years)

Medical Assistant Certification within 90 days

Current BLS certification (or within 90 days)

Requirements
