Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s Harrisburg office seeks a Medical Assistant to join its team.

The MA will manage patient rooming, take vitals, perform injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and assist with in-house procedures, with some clerical duties. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification or registration as CMA/RMA with Penn State Health approved agencies within 90 days or current CMA/RMA status.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient rooming, take vitals, and reconcile medications.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and in-house procedures as needed.
• Conduct EKGs and assist with in-house procedures.
• Handle some clerical duties including calls and monitoring the e-message pool.
