Job summary

Swain Community Hospital in Bryson City, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant for Swain Family Care. The role is full-time, with a 8am–5pm schedule, Monday–Friday, and includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus upon a 1-year commitment.

The MA will support direct patient care, prepare exam rooms, collect labs, document medical history and vitals, and may assist with procedures as directed by the Provider. On-the-job training is offered to become a Certified Medical Assistant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in the medical field preferred; working as a medical assistant in a physician’s office not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care and clinic activities, including documenting patient information and vitals.
• Prepare exam rooms for patients.
• May assist with procedures as directed by the Provider.
• Assist with collection of lab samples.
