Job summary

Southwest General Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and staff in an outpatient setting. The role involves assisting with general patient care and clerical duties, and requires initiative and problem-solving to stay compliant with healthcare regulations.

The position welcomes new grads; a high school diploma and Medical Assisting certificate are preferred, along with medical terminology knowledge and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate, minimum; certification from approved school with certificate in Medical assisting preferred.
• Medical terminology required.
• Able to perform computer entry and basic office computer skills.
• Externship of at least 100 hours or 6 months previous office/OP setting experience preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

High school graduate, minimum; certification from approved school with certificate in Medical assisting preferred. Medical terminology required. Able to perform computer entry and basic office computer skills.

Required length of experience:

Externship of at least 100 hours or 6 months previous office/OP setting experience preferred.
