Job summary

TeemaGroup is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) in Wisconsin to provide clinical and administrative support in a correctional healthcare setting. You will assist providers, document vitals and histories, and help ensure infection control and confidentiality.

The role requires MA training, active MA certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of clinical experience, with shifts from 12PM-8PM or 9AM-5:30PM in Stanley, WI.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Document vital signs and medical histories.

• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing within scope.
• Administer medications as allowed by policy.
• Maintain electronic and/or paper medical records.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate services.
• Stock supplies and equipment.
• Assist with intake screenings and health assessments.
• Respond to emergencies and assist staff.
• Comply with facility security procedures and HIPAA rules.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
