Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CMA or RMA certification as required by state regulations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of active clinical MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provider assistance during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Take and document patient vital signs, medical history, and intake information.
• Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing within scope.
• Safely administer routine medications as allowed by policy.
• Respond to emergencies and assist staff during urgent situations.
• Prepare and sanitize exam and treatment areas; enforce infection control guidelines.
• Monitor inventory of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain accurate health records in EHR/EMR systems.
• Coordinate patient appointments under nursing leadership.
