Boulder Medical Center is seeking medically trained candidates to join our Dermatology team as a Medical Assistant. This full-time position supports a patient-centered dermatology practice at the Broadway clinic in Boulder, CO. You will work with a collaborative team dedicated to preventive care and high-quality service.

The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and committed to delivering excellent patient care while supporting both primary and specialty clinics within the practice.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant education or relevant training; certification not required but preferred.
• Alternative healthcare training with active certification accepted (EMT, CNA, etc.).
• College grads with health science coursework may substitute for credentials.

Responsibilities

• Handle clinic admin tasks: calls, check-in/out, and patient information.
• Obtain medical history, vitals, meds, allergies; assist examinations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per policy and regulations.
• Prepare exam room with supplies and equipment.
• Document all patient encounters in the EMR.

Summary

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking medically trained candidates to join our Dermatology team as a Medical Assistant. This position is benefit-eligible, full-time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday and is based at our Broadway clinic, 2750 Broadway St., Boulder, CO 80304.

Job Duties

• Perform clinic administrative duties, including but not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check in/out, coordinate and facilitate accurate patient appointment
• Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations
• Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by the appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies
• Preparing examination room, ensuring proper equipment is present and room is adequately stocked
• Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system

Required Experience

• Good history-taking skills, strong, competent computer skills; accurate and complete documentation skills; good time management and organizational skills.
• Relate well and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
• Able to demonstrate self-direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.

Education Requirements (one Of The Following Options)

• Completion of Medical Assistant education. *Certification is not required but preferred.
• Other completed medical training, education, and proof of active certification is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. (Examples include but are not limited to: EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.).
• Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials.
• College graduates with a completed four (4) year bachelor's degree is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. *College transcripts must reflect completed health science course work. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts at the time of applying.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting, preferred

The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience:

• $18.91 - $25.21/hour (full pay range is $18.91 - $28.36)

This position will be posted for a minimum of three days, subsequently until filled.
