Gastroenterology & Hepatology Specialists, Inc. seeks a full-time Medical Assistant / Patient Scheduler in Canton, OH. Must have medical terminology knowledge, scheduling experience, and BLS/CPR certification.

High school diploma required; prior medical office experience preferred. 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Thursday, with comprehensive benefits. The role involves supporting physicians, scheduling across clinic, ASC, radiology, and lab, taking vital signs, charting, and assisting in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Requires familiarity with medical terminology and charting systems.
• Experience scheduling patients for procedures and appointments in clinics.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for procedures at clinic, ASC, and hospital.
• Measure vital signs and document in patient charts.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis as applicable.
• Obtain and verify patient health history.
• Assist physician during office visits and emergencies.
• Manage patient prescriptions and referrals as directed.
• Answer patient questions and communicate test results.
• Schedule research patients as needed.
