Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management in Ohio seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting, including rooming patients, recording vitals, and documenting in the electronic medical record to promote efficient patient flow.

You will assist providers with procedures, ensure a safe environment, handle front desk duties such as scheduling and collecting patient information, and abide by PHI security and UH policies.

• Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
• Responsible for all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Performs patient centered care delegated by Provider
• Provides a safe environment for patients
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
