The Regional Float Medical Assistant at AltaMed provides patient care support across ambulatory clinics within LA or Orange County. Assignments vary in length and are based on coverage needs, from a few weeks to several months. A Medical Assistant diploma and at least 3 years of back-office experience are preferred.

• Medical Assistant diploma required.
• A minimum of 3 years of back-office experience, preferred.
• Experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's Health, and Urgent Care is preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support to ambulatory clinics as a regional float.
• Assist in back-office duties within regulatory scope of practice.
• Float between Los Angeles and Orange County clinics as needed.

Job Overview

The Regional Float Medical Assistant provides patient care support to various ambulatory clinics within their regulatory scope of practice. As a regional float, assignment locations will vary depending on business need and may be within either Los Angeles or Orange County. Assignments will vary in length and can range from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the reason for supplemental coverage.

Minimum Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

• Medical Assistant diploma required.

• A minimum of 3 years of back-office experience, preferred.

• Experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's Health, and Urgent Care is preferred.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Compensation

$26.00 - $30.55 hourly
