Job Overview

The Medical Assistant/Receptionist reports to the Practice Manager and works under the direct supervision of the Physician(s). The role involves patient preparation and supporting physicians with clinical and administrative duties.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant course preferred.
2. Experience: Two to Four years of relevant work as a Medical Assistant in a medical/physician’s office preferred; 1-3 years in Administrative Assistance/Medical Office preferred.
3. Licensure/Certification: State Certification preferred but not required.
4. Skills: Proficiency with GE Centricity EMR (Meditech preferred), ability to maintain confidentiality, strong interpersonal and customer service skills both on the phone and in person.
