Christie Clinic's Pulmonary Medicine department seeks a full-time Medical Assistant for the University clinic in Champaign, IL. Work hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm with no nights or weekends, and occasional travel to Danville or Bloomington.

The role involves patient care, room prep, chart updates in the EMR, assisting providers, and patient education while maintaining a professional clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred: previous health care experience.
• Certifications: CPR certification; ABORE certification or CNA certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments prior to appointment.
• Restock and clean rooms and update patient medical records in the EMR.
• Assist providers with procedures and patient education on medications and wound care.
• Process lab orders and handle specimens, following department standards.
• Travel to Danville and Bloomington as needed to support the department.
