Position Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) works under the supervision of the clinic physician, assisting in patient examination and treatment. Responsibilities include conducting patient interviews, recording vital signs, drawing blood, preparing specimens for lab analysis, and performing EKGs. The MA prepares examination rooms and may perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and registration.

Qualifications
  • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED plus successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Preferred: Registered or Certified Medical Assistant, one year of experience, BLS (CPR) certification, ability to perform point of care testing, draw blood, and prepare lab specimens.
Responsibilities
  • Record patient history and vital signs.
  • Advise patients on treatment and medication instructions.
  • Collect lab samples and document submissions.
  • Manage appointment scheduling.
  • Greet and check out patients, collect payments, verify insurance.
  • Assist patients and staff with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Support customer service and perform other duties as assigned.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
