JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION: Assist the physician in coordinating care appropriate for the needs of the age population served, as defined in the department's scope of service and under the direction/supervision of the physician, clinic RN and/or clinic manager.

JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs basic physical assessments, collecting data for treatment, and communicates emergent problems.
- Provides patient care per standards, including medication administration, treatments, and phlebotomy, with 100% accuracy.
- Handles incoming patient care calls, assessing, documenting, and following physician instructions.
- Assists with clinic data management, including charges and record updates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- 1-2 years in a clinic setting preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
Maintains knowledge and adherence to HIPAA and safety regulations, including handling of medical records, patient information, and safety protocols.
