Medical Assistant (MA) – PRN

Pay Rate: $22–$24/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Medical Assistant (MA) for PRN opportunities in St. Louis, Missouri.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Medical Assistant experience, with pediatric experience preferred, and at least 1 year of experience using Epic.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare patients for appointments and obtain vital signs and medical histories
• Document patient information accurately in Epic
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain appropriate supplies
• Assist with scheduling, patient communication, and clinical documentation as needed
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety procedures
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, and other healthcare team members
• Perform other Medical Assistant duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience – REQUIRED
• Minimum 1 year of Epic experience – REQUIRED
• Pediatric experience – PREFERRED
• Medical Assistant certification/credential preferred or required based on facility requirements
• Current BLS certification preferred
• Strong patient-care and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
