Job summary

Bookmark Medical in Newton, MA is seeking a per diem Medical Assistant to join our clinic-based team. This PRN role provides coverage based on clinic staffing needs and your availability, with shifts 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Monday through Friday, and no weekend shifts. You will welcome patients, take vitals, support providers during exams, perform point-of-care testing and vaccines under supervision, document in the EHR, educate patients, manage calls and scheduling, and maintain clean, stocked exam

Qualifications

• Accredited MA training or equivalent experience.
• MA certification.
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients with warmth and professionalism
• Take vitals, update medical histories, and support providers during exams
• Perform point of care testing and administer vaccines under supervision
• Keep accurate, timely documentation in the EHR
• Support patient education, follow ups, and clear communication
• Help manage calls, referrals, prior authorizations, and scheduling
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and follow all safety guidelines

Schedule

This is a per diem (PRN), clinic-based position providing coverage based on clinic staffing needs and your availability.

• Shifts are available Monday through Friday during clinic hours of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• No weekend shifts — our clinics are closed Saturdays and Sundays
• Hours and shifts may vary based on clinic coverage needs
