Job summary

Washington Regional Urgent Care in Harrison, AR, is seeking experienced Medical Assistants to join our team. The role provides clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care, including preparing patients, taking vitals, and assisting with procedures.

Full-time schedule involves rotating 36–40 hour weeks with 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend; PRN per diem care is also available. AR MLS license preferred with willingness to obtain AR Limited X-Ray license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred; AR X-Ray license willingness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients as they arrive and prepare exam rooms.
• Take vitals and document patient history and meds.
• Assist providers during procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Support front desk with check-in/out and scheduling as needed.
• Follow documentation and patient care processes per clinic guidelines.

Washington Regional Urgent Care is looking for experienced Medical Assistants to join our team in Harrison, AR.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting providers, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
• Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process
• Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations
• Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
• Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
• Assists with patient transfers
• Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit

What’s the schedule?

Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
