Job summary

The US Oncology Network in Elgin, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant for part-time hours. The position offers an hourly rate of $19.00–$21.00 and direct supervision to support clinicians in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include patient escort, nursing support, exam assistance, injections, vitals, and handling referrals and prescriptions under physician guidance. Prior MA experience and CPR/BLS are required; phlebotomy skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR Certification required same as BLS.
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred).
• Phlebotomy skills highly desired.

Job description

Hourly Rate: $19.00-$21.00 Under direct supervision, assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Promotes efficient patient flow and patient care, i.e. exams, and procedures. Performs clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks, answering phones, and maintaining physician’s schedule. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
