Job summary

VIPCARE in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with exams, patient prep, and front desk duties. The role includes hands-on patient care, EMR documentation, and in-office tests, with emphasis on accuracy and patient comfort.

Responsibilities cover greeting patients, recording vitals, assisting physicians, managing records, and coordinating care. Prior MA experience and basic certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant program, preferred (RMA or CMA).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR certification, preferred.
• IV Start Certification, preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for provider examination by obtaining patient history and vitals.
• Assist provider with examination, treatments, and procedures as directed.
• Maintain complete and detailed records electronically in the EMR.
• Explain procedures and medications to patients; schedule appointments and triage as needed.
• Perform in-office CLIA-waived lab tests and basic diagnostic procedures.
