Job Title: Medical Assistant - Primary Care Referrals

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality patient care in a prompt and professional manner.
• Assist in delivery of patient education.
• Communicate patient information effectively to and from physicians.
• Perform various job tasks as assigned.
• Deliver direct, individualized, goal-directed patient care under the supervision of a physician.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Medical training through a certificate program or at least 2 years of experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting (e.g., clinical lab, physician's office, Emergency Medical Technician).
• Relevant medical training: LPN, Lab, Radiology, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Physician Office.
• Knowledge of equipment such as glucometer, PT INR machine, wheelchair, and thermometers.
• Knowledge of tests like urinalysis and EKG.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills and proficiency in computer use.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Proficiency demonstrated by passing all written and clinical tests.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of employment.
