Job summary

Marathon Health in New Castle, Indiana is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high‑quality patient care and an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, drawing blood, giving injections, assisting procedures, coordinating referrals, and handling front‑desk tasks. CPR/BLS certification and MA certification are required or preferred per state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• MA certification or registration preferred; required in some states.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Front desk duties including scheduling, chart requests, and referrals.
• Process test results and communicate with patients as directed.
• Support care team to develop and address gaps in care.
