NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is seeking a Medical Assistant for Primary Care in Patchogue. You will assist physicians and nurses in patient care, with emphasis on safe, compassionate service and understanding hospitalization challenges.

The role entails supporting patient flow, taking vital signs and ECGs, assisting with procedures, and helping maintain exam rooms and equipment. Excellent communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• High School or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or 2 years Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Aufgaben

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains patient flow in exam rooms and treatment areas; escorts patients as needed.
• Obtain vital signs, weights, and EKG; assist with phlebotomy and ensure chart is available for physicians.
• Clean and sterilize equipment; schedule treatments; assist with prescription renewals.
• Stock exam and treatment rooms with supplies and forms.
• Assist with training of new Medical Assistants; may perform administrative responsibilities.
