INTEGRIS Health Medical Group Central Primary Care Outpatient Clinic in Oklahoma City, OK is hiring a Medical Assistant for day shift, full-time. The role involves direct patient care, vitals, patient history, venipuncture, and coordination of referrals under supervision.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Gathers and documents patient information including vitals, history, and education needs.
• Performs tasks such as venipuncture, basic lab work, and x-ray referrals under provider direction.
• Manages patient flow and telephone messages with professional etiquette.
• Assists in developing and implementing the plan of care with safety in mind.
• May retrieve and transport medications as needed.
• Reports to assigned director, manager, supervisor or lead.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care by taking vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor.

The Medical Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Gathers and documents information about patient condition, which include lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status and potential complications
• Contributes to the assessment/re-assessment of patients
• Monitors and documents patient status
• Participates in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions which may include medication administration (exclusive of narcotics)
• Manages large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette
• Organizes workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner
• May retrieve and transport medications
• Reports to assigned director, manager, supervisor or lead.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration; OR 6 of months of clinic MA experience

AND

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment
• Must be able to communicate effective in English (Verbal/Written)
