Job summary

INTEGRIS Health's Medical Group Primary Care Outpatient Clinic in Guthrie, OK seeks a day shift, full-time Medical Assistant. You will take vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab work, x-ray referrals, and manage patient messages under the provider and clinical supervisor.

You will gather data, monitor status, assist in care plan development, handle high call volumes, organize workflow, and ensure timely patient care. Join Oklahoma’s largest not-for-profit health system.

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration; OR 6 months of clinic MA experience.
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)

Responsibilities

• Gathers and documents information about patient condition, including lab values, pain levels, nutrition status and education needs.
• Contributes to the assessment/re-assessment of patients and monitors status.
• Assists in development and evaluation of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions which may include medication administration (exclusive of narcotics).
• Manages large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and organizes workflow to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care by taking vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor.

The Medical Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Gathers and documents information about patient condition, which include lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status and potential complications
• Contributes to the assessment/re-assessment of patients
• Monitors and documents patient status
• Participates in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions which may include medication administration (exclusive of narcotics)
• Manages large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette
• Organizes workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner
• May retrieve and transport medications
• Reports to assigned director, manager, supervisor or lead.

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
