Job Description

Under the direction of the provider and as a member of the healthcare team, assists in coordinating patient care, preparing examination rooms, assisting with procedures, and performing clerical duties. Follows all protocols and policies to support patient care and office operations.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist in patient care coordination and preparation.
  • Obtain vital signs, document patient information, and update health records.
  • Perform back-office testing and assist providers during examinations.
  • Provide follow-up with patients and communicate test results.
  • Maintain inventory and cleanliness of treatment areas.
  • Perform laboratory controls and assist with medication administration.
  • Accurately document in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Perform clerical tasks and support office functions.
  • May float between locations as needed.
Qualifications

Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent experience, CPR certification, and background clearances. Certification within 120 days of hire is required if not already certified. Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree.
