Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (read across divisions).
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent military/EMT training may be accepted.
• Two years of verifiable full-time Medical Assistant experience in the last five years.
• Certification/License requirements include BLS and other listed credentials.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, med history, health maintenance, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures and performs lab duties (venipuncture, specimen handling, requisitions).
• Performs CLIA-waived tests and other practice-specific diagnostics.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Schedules appointments and referrals; handles message routing and insurance authorizations.
