Job Summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Primary Care Department at Baptist Primary Care South Hampton in St. Augustine, Florida. This is a full-time, back-office position.

The ideal candidate will perform duties such as rooming patients, assisting providers, and obtaining vitals. Must be trained as a Medical Assistant and capable of manual blood pressure checks with a stethoscope. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance to physicians
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during visits
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests as directed by physicians
• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Qualifications

Education Required: High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Education: Associate's Degree

Experience:

• 3-5 Years in a Medical Office (preferred)
• 2 Years Medical Assistant Experience (preferred)

License and Certification:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
