This position offers Monday through Friday hours from 8am to 5pm, working with our team to provide exceptional care to our patients. The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care by taking vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab work, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor. This role requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level.

Qualifications
  • Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration; OR 6 months of clinic MA experience; OR the ability to successfully complete the INTEGRIS Health Caregiver Placement Program (CPP)
  • 6 months of customer service experience preferred
  • CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment
  • Effective communication skills in English (Verbal/Written)

IMG Float Pool:

  • If intraday travel is required, incumbents must operate an INTEGRIS-owned or personal vehicle and have a current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Responsibilities
  • Gather and document patient information, including lab values, pain levels, education needs, nutritional status, and potential complications
  • Contribute to patient assessment and re-assessment
  • Monitor and document patient status
  • Participate in developing and evaluating the care plan, including medication administration (excluding narcotics)
  • Organize workflow to meet patient needs promptly, adhering to safety and governance standards
  • Retrieve and transport medications as needed

Reports to the assigned director, manager, supervisor, or lead. The role may include additional physical demands or respiratory fit testing. Follow standard precautions to handle hazardous risks, including potential exposure to infections, blood, body fluids, chemicals, and electrical equipment.
