The role includes welcoming patients, documenting histories and vitals, assisting with exams and testing, administering medications as directed, and educating patients and families to improve health outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; MA program and externship preferred.
• MA Internship and EMT/Paramedic programs accepted; credentialed MA desirable.
• Credentialing options include CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education for better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management initiatives.
