Job summary

General Physician, P.C. in Olean, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks in a primary care setting. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, onsite, with a base pay range of $18.24 to $25.08 per hour, reflective of experience and responsibilities.

The MA will assist with patient prep, vitals, lab specimen collection, charting, prior authorizations, and EMR documentation while delivering friendly, patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to use computer programs.
• Proven work experience in a healthcare facility is preferred.
• Certification for Medical Assistants from an accredited facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and reason for visit.
• Prepare patients for examination and record vitals.
• Perform chart preparation and collect lab specimens.
• Handle administrative tasks and forms processing.
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and imaging.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and document in EMR.
