Job summary

Omni Family Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Wasco, CA to support the Health Center Nurse and clinical staff in a busy ambulatory care setting focused on prevention and patient wellbeing.

The MA will perform administrative, clerical and technical tasks, prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, assist with exams, process labs and referrals, and maintain patient records with strict confidentiality. Some travel to other Omni clinic locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Venipuncture, CPR and BLS certifications required as listed.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical and clerical support to the clinical staff and patients.
• Prepares exam rooms and takes vital signs (height, weight, BP, temp).
• Assists with examinations and procedures; processes labs and referrals.
• Maintains patient records with confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
