$5,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants with 1 year of experience and a 2-year commitment.

FTE: 0.9, Shift: Days, Schedule: 4x/9 hour shifts

Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team working under the supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. The MA-C performs safe clinical skills within their scope of practice, with continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients, and their families/caregivers.

Responsibilities:

  • Fulfills patient care responsibilities, including:
    • Organizing patient flow with front office staff
    • Interviewing patients
    • Obtaining vital signs
    • Assisting patients with exams or treatments
    • Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
    • Administering medications per Washington State regulations and competency
    • Relaying instructions to patients and families
  • Fulfills clerical responsibilities, including:
    • Managing patient medical records
    • Facilitating referrals
    • Preparing patient forms

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
  • Preferred: minimum of 1 year healthcare experience
