Hourly Pay Range:

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Medical Assistant, Primary Care

Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Assistant
• Location: 199 W Rand Rd. Mount Prospect, IL.
• Full Time: 40 hours/week
• Hours: Varying hours - Monday to Thursday (7a-7p), Friday (7a-5p), Saturday (8a-12p)

What you will do:

Reporting to the Practice Manager and accountable to the Clinical Supervisor, the Medical Assistant serves as the primary assistant to the medical provider by performing routine clinical tasks and direct patient care under supervision. Responsibilities include facilitating patient throughput, clinical testing, and follow-up activities.

• Assist the provider in patient care activities, maintain exam and treatment rooms, stock supplies, escort patients, collect and document patient data, observe patient needs, and assist during examinations.
• Review and update patient records, coordinate tests and treatments, assist with scheduling, and process referrals and authorizations.
• Perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, injections, immunizations, assisting with procedures, venipunctures, Point of Care testing, EKGs, suture removal, and dressing changes.
• Handle clerical functions including answering phones, updating records, scheduling, and coordinating patient care and follow-up.

What you will need:

• Education: Current certification from a national Medical Assistant body preferred or obtainable within 3 months of hire.
• Certification: BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers required.
• Experience: Knowledge of clinical equipment and materials.
